Dear Residents

The A338 is a major route through this area and vital for communications, business, transport etc. The resurfacing work is essential but this is going to cause a great deal of inconvenience and problems for anyone using or living near it. To try and answer some of the many questions, issues and concerns St Leonards & St Ives Parish Council has arranged for the County Officer in charge of the project to come and attend a public meeting on Wednesday 10th March at 7pm in the Village Hall, Braeside Road, St Leonards.

We would also mention that major essential resurfacing work is also about to commence on 1st March on Matchams Lane and Hurn Road. This we are told is not due to be a designated detour route for A338 work, undoubtedly though it is going to exacerbate the problems currently being encountered.

Please note the date for this meeting was input in the Stour and Avon magazine as the 19th March which is incorrect.
